Saturday Morning
Good Morning everyone.I am having decaf with choco protein.Whats in your cup?QOTD Do you balance caloric intake with exercise daily?I havent started to do this just yet.I am also bad about planning meals or logging calories and protein and fats.I really just pay attention to protein so far.Better change a little more for a brighter future.Have a great day everyone.
Good Morning Danielle and everyone!
Having my decaf and black as I'm watching this wonderful morning unfold. It's going to be a good one for all those little ones going to Easter Egg hunts. Our church has one, but I don't attend. Will probably do so in the future when the grandson arrives.
QOTD-I've started re-journaling food this past month to try to break my looooong plateau. I try to keep it around 1200-1400 calories and 60-70 grams of protein. I don't take my exercise into account. I've been able to loose 2 pounds the past month which is progress considering I've been stuck at the same weight for 7 months.
Have a good Saturday!

Hey Everyone
I am getting ready to go to work til 12 then coming home. I am battling this stupid sinus or cough thing whatever it is and it wont go away. I have been on amoxicillin for 7 days now and this morning was the first morning I didnt wake up in a HUGE coughing fit. Thank God.
QOTD: Like I have said in previous posts.. I am 4 years out already and when I had this surgery I made a choice to not OBSESS about my weight... and I think alot of people transfer addicition from food to obsession about what they put into their body. I have never been pefect and I never will be perfect. And as long as I am healthy and not having issues. I will continue on the path that I am on.. I watch what I eat on most days and make healthy choices. But I do not deprive myself nor do I obsess about it.. I refuse to keep a journal, use the word diet, and WILL NOT count calories... I think that the nation is to focused on all of these things.. It just boils down to not eating alot of junk, and eating in smaller amounts... Just my two cents.. I will get off of my soapbox now.
FYI I have been on a plateau for a couple of years now... so look forward to dealing with that... The weight does stop usually after the 18 month mark or so... The honeymoon ends unfortunately.. I wish I was still losing but it does stop.

Yeah I am trying my hardest not to have to go back to the Dr... I didnt go today since the cough is much better. I have not had one major fit all day.. DH said I seemed better. If not better in a couple of days I am heading to the DR. I see my Surgeon on Tuesday for a follow up and if he thinks I need to go I will. Did you have fluid in your lungs or something?
Drinking some G2 trying to muster up the motivation to go put in my swim time at the local Y.
QOTD: I think at first you've got to concentrate on 2 things: your protein intake and your fluid intake. I don't think I ever worried about calories for that first year. If I ever stopped losing weight then I just ate a little less for the next week and the weight started to come back off quickly.
The first time I started really worrying about caloric intake and daily exercise was when I was preparing for my marathon and started running 10+ miles. It is something I'm having to start worrying about and be conscience about again. Of course I'll swim for an hour to an hour and a half and today will probably also do a 5 mile+ run. So all that adds up to about 2 1/2 hours of aerobic exercise burning roughly 2000 calories. So I guess if you really get into exercise than yeah you'll have to adjust, but until you start hitting 'the wall' and completely bonking during a exercise season I wouldn't worry about it.

Hey Michigan,
I do it the same way. I watch what I eat, making sure I get in all my protein and fluids. After that I do allow myself a few cheese nips, m&m's...but very few. My ultimate goal is to exercise 5 days a week and to eat like a normal person. Normal people have a few m&m's not the entire bag, which is what I used to do.
I don't count exercise, against my daily calories, it's my icing on the cake of weight loss. In my opinion I don't exercise enough to need to eat more to make up for it. If I'm hungrier on a specific day I eat, if I'm not I don't.
I try to not sweat it, but I do watch it (calories). I'm not going to wake up one day 20 lbs heavier freaking out. I didn't go through all of this to do that.
